Arvin Amatorio is serving his second term as Mayor of Bergenfield, leading with a strong commitment to inclusive governance, infrastructure improvement, and community wellness. Under his leadership, the Borough has seen major investments in downtown revitalization, flood mitigation, recreational spaces, and public facilities, including the opening of a new Borough Hall.

A longtime advocate for immigrant families and working communities, Mayor Amatorio has prioritized accessible services, public health, and civic engagement. He launched the Mayor’s Wellness Campaign to promote healthy living, expanded partnerships with diverse cultural groups, and championed youth and senior programs to ensure no one is left behind.

Born in the Philippines and a practicing immigration attorney, Mayor Amatorio brings a deep understanding of the challenges faced by Bergenfield’s diverse residents—and works every day to build a more connected, resilient, and welcoming community.
